Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced System Administrator who has a robust knowledge of Bitcoin and blockchain technologies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth and efficient operations, and providing support for Bitcoin-related projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • System Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain server hardware, software, and network systems to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
  • Network Management: Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption, to protect company data and systems.

  • User Support: Provide technical support to staff, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.

  • Software Management: Manage software installations, updates, and upgrades licensing, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Blockchain Administration: Administer and support Bitcoin nodes and related blockchain infrastructure, ensuring reliability and security.
  • Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies, particularly in Bitcoin and blockchain, to continually improve system performance and security.
  • Development Collaboration: Collaborate with the development team to integrate Bitcoin-related applications and services, ensuring seamless functionality and performance.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with Linux, Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+,

Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator, or similar.

  • Local Knowledge: Understanding of IT infrastructure, support and regulations in Qatar.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Arabic.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in system administration or a similar role.
