SITUATION IN ORGANIZATION

Position N+1: Head, Reservoir Dev. & Growth KH

Position N+2: Manager Reservoir Development and Growth

Position N-1: none

PURPOSE

  • Technical contribution for Development and Recovery optimization of Kharaib (KH) reservoirs, integrating the lessons learned from the NWD post-mortems and the RMO well performance reports.
  • Identification, maturation of Appraisal as well as Development Opportunities and feed into development projects in FDP.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Under the direction of Head, Reservoir Dev. & Growth KH; the main accountabilities include:

  • To deliver the 2G studies under directions from Head RDG-KH feeding into the Field Development and Appraisal Plans
  • To update and maintain full field static models
  • To ensure Reservoir Development and Appraisal Lookbacks implementation into studies and in ALS FFM KH model updates
  • Inputs for Annual Reserves (ARR) for Kharaib
  • Technical presentations during Shareholders Engagements and Validations Meetings for RDG Projects & Studies related to KH reservoirs

ACTIVITIES

Technical work delivery

Technical responsibilities are:

  1. Conduct 2G&R synthesis to improve field understanding
  2. Build and maintain 3D static reservoir models (ALS FFM /Sector models) in close collaboration and iterations with the Reservoir engineer, geologist and discipline leads
  3. Use geological models as input to development and appraisal well planning. Define static Appraisal and Development needs including required subsurface studies.
  4. Drive Appraisal Program to unlock and de-risk future Developments
  5. Integrate data from new development and appraisal wells into the geological understanding of the reservoirs. Team work with the reservoir team to end-up with changes in the static modeling compatible with the dynamic understanding.
  6. Geology input for new projects (Workovers related to Redevelopment, New Wells, Pilots etc.) by defining the perimeter, spacing, targets, TD, data acquisition & profiles. Project management for getting the wells validated until the Basis of design (BoD) and subsequently handing it over to New well Delivery team for SOR process maturation.
  7. Work within integrated team to mature Field Development Targets and provide inputs to ensure timely submissions and approvals of Field Development Phases. Prepare input for FDP documentation (including FDP, RMP, Shareholders Quality review etc.)
  8. Participate in the seismic 4D interpretation with geophysics and reservoir integrated team
  9. Provide input for the yearly reserves report
  10. Responsible for developing and maintaining a detail knowledge of the geology of the Kharaib reservoirs
  11. Participate in shareholder presentations related to the Kharaib (information and validation processes) - Promote and participate in the NOC geoscience community
  12. Conduct the uncertainty analysis including definition of uncertainty parameters and ranges
  13. Participate to the consolidation of the geological knowhow in close collaboration with the Geology Head of Discipline.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

Doha (Qatar) office.

Standard office hours, 5 days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 10 years experience within a Subsurface organization, in Reservoir Geology role
  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelors degree, and preferably Masters degree (Geology or subsurface subjects)
  • Proven experience of work in multidisciplinary teams, with cross-functional technical knowledge and Senior Technical role
  • Ability to engage, influence and manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Proven communication, networking and collaboration skills
  • Commercial and business acumen / Ability to influence business decision making
