Position
We are seeking Kindergarten Teachers to join our vibrant educational community. Job Description
Job Title: Kindergarten Teachers
Accountable to: Head of Lower School

Safeguarding and Welfare of Students

- Incorporate the school's vision, mission, and values into working practice.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a nurturing, safe, and engaging classroom environment appropriate for kindergarten-aged children.
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that align with our American curriculum standards and early childhood best practices.
- Foster early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional learning through play-based and structured learning experiences.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, styles, and developmental stages.
- Establish daily classroom routines that promote independence, cooperation, and self-regulation.
- Communicate regularly with parents through conferences, progress reports, newsletters, and digital platforms.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques and age-appropriate strategies.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants to ensure smooth classroom operations and individualized student support.
- Prepare students for transition to Grade 1 by developing foundational academic and social skills.
- Participate in school community events and parent education programs.
- Contribute to curriculum development and review processes.
- Maintain an organized classroom with engaging learning centers and developmentally appropriate materials.
- Ensure student health and safety by adhering to school policies and reporting concerns promptly.
- Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.
Pastoral Care
- Implement the Behavior Policy to drive excellent behavior in the classroom.
- Support the culture of high attendance and high achievement.
- Ensure a high level of provision for the pastoral needs and well-being of every pupil.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as required.
Community
- Be fully committed to The Experience, our broad and robust co-curricular program.
- Promote a positive, purposeful, professional working environment that encourages collaboration and cooperation.
- Develop opportunities that allow participation with the broader school community and beyond.

The post holder may be required to undertake other duties as reasonably required by the school.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field.
- Three or more years of elementary teaching experience, preferably in an international environment.
- Experience with the American curriculum & Common Core Standards and inquiry-based learning approaches for early childhood education.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early learning pedagogy.
- Experience with play-based learning approaches and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Strong classroom management skills appropriate for young learners.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience using observation and assessment techniques for early childhood.
- Ability to create stimulating learning environments for young children.
- Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working in diverse settings.
- Patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood education.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Experience integrating technology into teaching and learning practices to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development, including participation in workshops, conferences, and other learning opportunities.
