IT Applications Specialist – Banking and Digital Transformation

Nair Systems is currently looking for an IT Applications Specialist – Banking and Digital Transformation for our Qatar operations with the following terms & conditions.

Job Description:

An experienced and dynamic IT Project Manager to lead and manage multiple critical projects in parallel, including Core Banking T24 Upgrade, CRM implementation, and Mobile App development, along with other internal IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT project management, applications, vendor management, and requirements gathering, and will work closely with business users, vendors, and IT teams to ensure timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT project management, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of Core Banking Systems, SAP Business Objects, CRM platforms, and Mobile App development.
  • Experience with SIT and UAT processes and tools.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects in parallel, ensuring timely and quality delivery of all initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, timelines, and deliverables for each project.
  • Track and monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to scope, timelines, and budgets.
  • Prepare and present daily status reports and weekly status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate effective communication between internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Oversee vendor engagements, contracts, and deliverables.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors, ensuring timely resolution of issues and delivery of agreed-upon services.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and escalate concerns as necessary.
  • Conduct requirements gathering sessions with business users to ensure clear documentation of needs and expectations.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development and implementation teams.
  • Bridge the gap between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment.
  • Oversee System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases, including planning, execution, and tracking defects and fixes.
  • Coordinate with users and technical teams to resolve testing issues and ensure readiness for deployment.
  • Maintain a comprehensive task tracking system to monitor progress, assign ownership, and prioritize activities.
  • Track and document issues and fixes across all projects, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
  • Act as the liaison between IT, business teams, and vendors to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and challenges effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Facilitate change management processes and ensure user adoption of new systems.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including requirements, test plans, task lists, and status reports.
  • Prepare post-implementation reviews and lessons learned reports.
