Our client is looking for a highly skilled Consultant in Plastic Surgery with a focus on reconstructive techniques. The ideal candidate will be passionate about restoring form and function to patients affected by congenital abnormalities, trauma, or disease.

Clients will experience a quality of care equivalent to or exceeding that of the very best hospitals around the world. With 240 single private suites, 10 operating rooms, and 23 Intensive Care beds, they provide primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare services. Our Operating Rooms are equipped with the most advanced technology, allowing them to do minimally invasive surgery and imaging during operations. The facility is also equipped with the Da Vinci and Artis pheno robotic equipment which is more precise and enables quicker surgery with fewer complications, resulting in a faster recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of reconstructive surgical procedures, including but not limited to breast reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, hand surgery, and microsurgery.
  • Assess patient's needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients on surgical options, risks, and expected outcomes.
  • Provide post-operative care and follow-up to monitor patient progress and address any concerns.

Job Knowledge & Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of plastic surgery principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in a wide range of reconstructive procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a full-time Consultant Plastic Surgeon position, with a focus on reconstructive techniques and a minimum of 1 year experience in a government, semi-government, or a teaching hospital.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in GCC (preferred).
  • Preferably Arabic speaking candidates.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in performing complex reconstructive surgeries.

Education requirements:

  • Graduate degree in General Medicine from an accredited Institution.
  • Western Board certified in Plastic Surgery and eligible for Consultant License in the State of Qatar as per MoPH criteria (Essential) at least 12 months duration from one of the Category 1 Western countries.
  • US Board / CCT in Plastic Surgery or equivalent specialist training certificate (Category 1).
  • Fellowship training in reconstructive surgery preferred.
