Located in the former Ministry of Interior building, The Ned Doha offers seven restaurants, 90 bedrooms, event venues, and Ned's Club, a private members' club that gives access to spaces including a rooftop terrace, a health club with spa, gym and 30m outdoor pool.
Job Purpose :
The IT Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the technology systems that support our hotel operations.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise and a customer-focused approach.
Key Responsibilities :
- Team Management : Lead and develop the IT team, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- System Management : Oversee the management of hotel technology systems, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, and network infrastructure.
- Technical Support : Provide advanced technical support for hotel staff, resolving issues related to IT systems, software, and hardware.
- Project Oversight : Manage and implement IT projects, such as system upgrades, new installations, and integration of emerging technologies to enhance guest experience.
- Security : Ensure the security and integrity of guest data and hotel systems, including adherence to privacy policies and security protocols.
- Vendor Relations : Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure efficient and cost-effective solutions for IT needs.
- Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation for all IT systems, processes, and troubleshooting guidelines.
Qualifications & Competencies :
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in an IT supervisory role within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of hospitality technology systems, including PMS, POS, and guest Wi-Fi solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, guests, and vendors.
- Familiarity with industry-specific security and data protection standards.
- Relevant certifications (., CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
