Your Tasks

  1. Ensure and coordinate the proper realization of the Electrical design in compliance with Standard, project specifications and procedures, time schedule, required level of quality and safety.
  2. Challenge EPCIC Contractor on the proposed design, oversee the development of the Electrical design including, electrical cable layout/schedule, load list, equipment datasheets, sizing calculation, schematic drawings, tie-in list, etc.
  3. Promote field technical optimization/cost savings, ensuring first that they are compliant with the project schedule and the contracts, liaising with the Electrical Lead.
  4. Identify Electrical engineering technical decisions to be made. Define and manage clear way forward for these decisions to be made and report to Electrical Lead.
  5. Work with weight control engineer and engineering team to ensure close weight monitoring and control of weight.
  6. Contribute to the proper realization of the identification of and specification of the LLI.
  7. Ensure close coordination with other disciplines on all engineering, constructability and operational matters.
  8. Ensure that relevant feedback/lesson learned from previous similar projects are considered in the design performance.
  9. Assist in planning and preparation of Electrical discipline kick-off meeting with EPC Contractor.
  10. Support procurement engineering including TBEs and vendor documents review, and assist in manufacture site visit.
  11. Support fabrication and construction engineering on review of engineering documents, modification approval, non-conformity reviews and assist in closer of punch lists.
  12. Support project during installation and hookup stage and review/approval work-pack, review of red-marks.
  13. Ensure project documents related to the Electrical discipline are reviewed and commented in a timely manner and in accordance with standards, project specification and contractual requirements.
  14. Identify any optimization/improvement in the design dossier to be implemented in the early stage of detailed design, promote, and encourage submissions of value engineering proposals.
  15. Promote fit for purpose design to reduce and to optimize planning and costs.
  16. Ensure as far as possible standardization of design proposals for wellhead platforms.
  17. Coordinate and issue project response to contractors and vendors requests on engineering design clarifications and TQR.
  18. Identify the potential deviations/derogations to and assist in preparation of deviation package.
  19. Consult E&C department to Electrical derogation requests and interface with relevant TRP to secure needed approvals.
  20. Review of final project documentation including final dossiers and as-built drawings.
  21. Assist Electrical Lead to define, follow up and evaluate the Electrical discipline studies to be carried out by Contractors, ensure the studies completed as per approved project gate and maturity.
  22. Assist in preparation and attend to project studies including model review, HAZID, HAZOP, constructability review, PRs.
  23. Provide technical answers and clarifications to internal project audit sessions (PR, HAZOP, HAZID, etc.).
  24. Participate in weekly Electrical engineering meetings with Contractors, and in specific ad hoc meetings as required by management.
  25. Assist in preparation of engineering progress reports detailing Electrical discipline progress across schedule, risks and technical issues to ensure accurate and timely information available to Package Management Team.
  26. Identify potential engineering scope change related to Electrical discipline, carry out initial technical assessment in order to provide accurate information to Electrical Lead.
  27. Ensure the design follows the approved SOR, basis of design and project standards, captured and manage any changes as per project change management plan.

Your Profile

  1. Qualification: Engineering degree in Electrical engineering.
  2. Experience: minimum 10 years' experience, in Electrical field in offshore Oil and Gas industry.
  3. Computer literate, especially in Electrical engineering software and AVEVA Electrical product.
  4. Strong leadership skills and good communication skills.
  5. Good analytical skills.
  6. Familiar with Total general specifications is a plus, and with relevant codes and standards.
  7. Language: fluent English.
  8. Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
