Process Engineering Lead

Airswift is seeking for a Process Engineering Lead to work with our client based in Qatar.

Job Purpose
  1. Responsible for leading process engineering activities in Project Onshore Common Lean Storage and Loading Expansion Project.
  2. Position ensures all process engineering design requirements such as project philosophies, design basis, specifications, codes and standards are in full compliance with project and Company requirements.
  3. Position shall deliver discipline results to the highest technical quality standards and provides clear guidance to the EPC contractor including facilitating resolution of process issues such that all process design requirements meet project objectives.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
  2. 8 years' experience in process engineering discipline in large oil & gas projects. Broad knowledge of engineering execution including design practices and exposure to onshore facilities.
  3. Strong technical leadership skills, personal integrity, experience guiding and assisting contractor teams.
Key Accountabilities
  1. Provides Process engineering knowledge, expertise and technical leadership for the design and quality assurance of the process discipline.
  2. Ensure process engineering activities meet local regulatory requirements, codes and standards, project specifications and industry practices. Ensure that EPC contractors are conducting process design in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
  3. Address process discipline issues timely to ensure HMB, PFDs, P&IDs, HAZOP, MDR etc. meet Project's objectives and schedule.
  4. Ensure approved design recommendations and lessons learned are utilized to improve process design integrity, improve operability, and maintain high design safety standards.
  5. Steward Contractors' process design and execution activities in accordance to specifications, verify adequacy of Contractor resources and personnel competency for the tasks, employment of appropriate tools including use of approved process software.
  6. Coordinate and analyze discipline issues for resolution. Provide Process Engineering input to other engineering disciplines, procurement, commissioning etc. Support commissioning and system completing activities and make appropriate recommendations to management on process discipline matters.
