Role: Maintenance Planner / MAXIMO Engineer
Location: Doha, Qatar

Siemens Mobility is currently operating and maintaining the Education City Tram network. The People Mover System (PMS) is the first low floor catenary-free tram system in the world. It uses a Hybrid Energy System (HES) which incorporates a combination of super-capacitors and batteries to power the tram between charging locations along the line. It is manually operated on line of sight rules and the system is being designed in compliance with BO Strab regulations and guidance. 11 km of track serves both the North and South Campuses of Education City and 19 trams of the Siemens Avenio range are in operation.

Role Overview

Position holder will be responsible for maintaining our maintenance systems (MAXIMO and MARAFIQ) and ensure work orders are being generated correctly for the maintenance team to conduct their planned maintenance work.

What are my responsibilities?

  1. Maintenance Work Order Planning
  2. Transforming of maintenance data into electronically usable formats and implement in CMMS applications
  3. Planning and administration of regular Maintenance Work Orders (Preventive) in CMMS applications
  4. Planning and administration of Maintenance Work Orders (Corrective) in CMMS applications
  5. Storage of maintenance and other office data in CMMS applications
  6. Preparation of Maintenance related Data for Reporting in CMMS applications
  7. Establishing, creation and preparation of regular Data Reporting for Management
  8. Advises and supports users in CMMS applications and troubleshooting
  9. Support upgrades, implementations and modifications of the CMMS applications
  10. Maintain Data and Software of the CMMS applications
  11. Password, logging and network administration of the CMMS applications
  12. Investigate the needs for system optimization
  13. Support of maintenance staff in the maintenance of systems with non-embedded software
  14. Production of hardware records / Asset Registers
  15. Initiation of hardware repairs with IT Department
  16. Assistance in the selection and purchase of suitable hard- and software
  17. Setup of computerized maintenance programs and office software
  18. Designing and writing of data sheets
  19. Extracting data and assist in the writing of comprehensive reports
  20. Assistance in the system analysis including of statistics

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  1. Has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in Computer Information Systems
  2. Has basic knowledge of maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting of systems
  3. Good knowledge in MAXIMO or similar maintenance-related software is an advantage
  4. Good command of both the spoken and written English language
  5. Can use Microsoft applications to create and present reports to management
  6. Excellent computer skills
