About The Role

Provides innovative and modern architectural approach, in alignment with Organizations technical vision, goals and standards. Activities involve creating architecture blueprints, defining deployment architecture, capacity planning, leveraging native cloud services and capabilities to meet business requirements. Ensure all architecture decisions are aligned towards meeting the technical and business objectives of the product/application.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with product teams to understand functional and non-functional requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  2. Review and sign off of cloud deployment architecture and ensure the availability SLA of the application is honored.
  3. Excellent understanding of FinOps practices and constantly improve on possible cost optimization strategies for the application and at enterprise level.
  4. Facilitate communication and collaboration between engineering and product teams to ensure that solutions meet both technical and business needs.
  5. Participate in infrastructure design and architecture reviews to ensure that proposed solutions meet the requirements and align with the overall architecture.
  6. Ensure the right cloud services are leveraged to address the business requirements.
  7. Guide the development team on operational & observability aspects (Logging, monitoring, alerts etc).
  8. Collaborate with Solution Architects from other LOBs to identify synergies in solutions and to adopt and standardize common tools and technologies across organization.
  9. Excellent understanding of high availability, scalability and resilience options available in different cloud platforms.
  10. Plan and execute proof of concepts to demonstrate feasibility of idea, complex solutions and cutting-edge technologies.
  11. Responsible for ensuring that all application Non-Functional Requirements are met, ensure thorough testing of NFRs and ensure corrective / preventive actions.
  12. Ensure that recommended architecture is manageable, maintainable, scalable, resilient, sustainable, and cost effective whilst addressing business requirements.
  13. Lead root cause analysis of reported critical incidents in operational production systems and recommend/ensure implementation of effective preventive actions to avoid repetition.
  14. Partner with DevOps team to ensure seamless deployment and maintenance of application.
  15. Find opportunities to innovate using technology advancements, to the benefit of the product.
  16. Share best practices and knowledge with engineers to promote continuous learning and improvement.
  17. Define and implement technical standards, best practices, and patterns for cloud native development.
  18. Own all architecture decisions of the application and ensure these are documented as part of Architecture Decision Records.
  19. Recommend the right choice of tools & libraries in alignment with the organization standards.
  20. Ensure all architecture decisions are in alignment with corporate security standards and guidelines.
  21. Identify technical debts and define technology roadmap for the product/application.
  22. Articulate the benefits of architecture modernization to stakeholders and ensure adoption of latest and proven engineering practices & technology trends.
  23. Responsible for the development and maintenance of Kubernetes based azure infrastructure.
  24. Accountable for setting up of environments and system components to achieve High availability (99.99% uptime).
  25. Implement monitoring and alerting tools and solutions that provide visibility into the application and infrastructure performance.
  26. Ensure infrastructure is provisioned in a resilient and cost-effective manner.
  27. Proactively identify scaling issues and collaborate with development and infrastructure team.
  28. Work with architects and software engineers to migrate the existing platform to Cloud and help resolve issues.
  29. Ensure SLA and service quality is adhered to.
  30. Provide regular updates and status reports to the management.

ABOUT YOU - Skills

  1. Minimum 8 years' experience in designing and operating Application Infrastructure solutions in On-premise/Cloud is mandatory.
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in designing, executing and operating robust cloud platform for enterprise applications in Azure cloud is mandatory.
  3. Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification is mandatory.
  4. Experience in GCP will be an added advantage.
  5. Hands-on Experience in provisioning and managing PaaS Services like API Gateway, App Services, Kubernetes, Service Bus and Databases in Azure Cloud.
  6. Hands-on Experience in setting up Azure Monitoring Alerts and Dashboards using Azure Application Insights & Azure Log Analytics Workspace.
  7. Experience integrating Cloud Services with tools like Grafana and Prometheus will be an added advantage.
  8. Experience in designing and managing multi-cloud & Hybrid cloud platforms will be an added advantage.
  9. Experience in migration of large monolith architecture to cloud ready architecture.
  10. Hands-on Experience in implementing Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Advisor recommendations.
  11. Solid understanding of Azure Well Architected Framework and experience in reviewing and implementing the WAR recommendations.
  12. Solid understanding of Cloud FinOps methodologies and hands-on experience in implementing Cost Optimization principles.
  13. Solid understanding of Azure Network Security concepts like NSGs, UDRs, Firewalls etc.
  14. Experience in IaC Tools & Technologies like Azure CLI, Terraform, Bicep etc.
  15. Good understanding of SQL & NoSQL databases in cloud and should be able to recommend the right DB for diverse types of requirements.
  16. Development experience in Java or C-sharp will be added advantage.
  17. Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  18. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
  19. Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
