The ideal candidate will have Responsibilities such as (not limited to):

Civil Design and Planning:

  1. Developing / Reading structural designs and blueprints that ensure safety, functionality, and compliance with building codes.
  2. Overseeing construction projects to ensure timely completion, budget adherence, and quality standards.

Design, Planning & Technical Analysis:

  1. Design MEP system layouts, including electrical, plumbing, and mechanical drawings, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
  2. Read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and maintenance of MEP systems.
  3. Assess project requirements and propose cost-effective solutions regarding equipment, supplies, and devices needed for installation and maintenance.
  4. Identify and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency and optimize material usage.

Electrical Systems:

  1. Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, fixtures, and devices in accordance with specifications and safety codes.
  2. Test and verify electrical components and troubleshoot any electrical faults efficiently.
  3. Ensure electrical systems meet project requirements, optimizing power distribution and system performance.

Plumbing Systems:

  1. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, water heaters, and drainage solutions for private residential and commercial buildings.
  2. Inspect and troubleshoot plumbing systems for leaks, blockages, and pressure issues, implementing corrective measures.
  3. Ensure proper water distribution and drainage to prevent system failures and inefficiencies.

Mechanical & HVAC Systems:

  1. Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of mechanical and HVAC systems.
  2. Perform routine checks on ventilation, heating, and cooling systems to maintain efficiency and functionality.
  3. Address mechanical faults and carry out repairs when necessary.

Hands-on Work & Supervision:

  1. Supervise, guide, and coordinate a team of MEP technicians and laborers on-site, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  2. Perform hands-on work when tasks can be completed independently or require direct intervention.
  3. Ensure all work meets safety regulations, project timelines, and quality standards.
  4. Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to facilitate seamless execution of MEP tasks.

Safety & Compliance:

  1. Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
  2. Conduct routine safety inspections and enforce best practices to prevent hazards.
  3. Maintain documentation and records of completed work, materials used, and system performance.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Civil Engineer & MEP Foreman & Technician, specializing in private residential and commercial buildings.
  2. Diploma or Secondary School Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing Engineering.
  3. Strong technical expertise in MEP system design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  4. Proficiency in reading civil drawings and designing MEP drawings and blueprints.
  5. Ability to assess and propose effective solutions for materials, equipment, and devices.
  6. Hands-on ability to conduct independent work as well as lead a team when necessary.
  7. Knowledge of relevant regulations, industry codes, and safety standards.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
  9. Excellent communication and coordination skills to work with other trades and project stakeholders.
  10. Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication and documentation.
