Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide Company oversight of the Onshore Project EPC Contractors Worker Communication strategies and campaigns across work locations and multiple construction camps (>40000 pax).
  • Support the client camps management team with the objective of ensuring the provision of robust food safety management systems, acceptable living standards, properly delivered camp worker welfare and compliance with international and Qatar standards.
  • Support contractor development & implementation of communication strategies with the objective of ensuring and enhancing a safe and harmonious living and working environment within the construction camps.
  • Collect, aggregate, analyze and present data and insights from across camps portfolio to provide indication of the health of the camps management systems as well as areas requiring attention and intervention. This will include the development of smart leading and lagging indicators.
  • Support the client camps management team in ensuring the implementation of Safety and Quality programs relevant to operations and maintenance activities including adherence to HACCP & industrial hygiene standards.
  • Camps Worker Engagement & Reporting Superintendent will be responsible for supporting the Camps Operations and Maintenance Head interfacing with EPC Contractor and sub-contractors counterparts, such as Camp Bosses and camp management teams.
  • Regularly interface with a wide range of stakeholders, ranging from Ras Laffan City management, through to camp residents in order to develop fit for purpose communication strategies as well as to gauge their effectiveness.
  • Support the development of a structured system of fit for purpose reporting used at various levels within the organization. These reports will serve the purpose of both communicating internally and externally as to the health of the camps management systems. They will also provide longer term trending to support management decision making.

Your Tasks:

  • Support the Camps Operations and Maintenance Head overseeing and stewarding all camp services/operations, including development and management of camp management systems, activities and programs, by the EPC Contractors and their sub-contractors.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain Onshore Project's camp reporting system providing visibility on the contractor, subcontractor and camp operators adherence to agreed camp management systems covering areas such as hotel services, food management and quality systems, safety, health and environmental programs.
  • Support the provision of bespoke reporting supporting visibility and decision making at the correct level in the organization; camps management team, project director, RLIC management.
  • Ensure areas of non-compliances and concern as well as camps related maintenance status are recorded, tracked and reported to the correct level within the organization.
  • Support, assess and steward the EPC Contractors' reporting, investigation, and resolution of camp HACCP & SHES incidents in coordination with the SHES Department.
  • Attend, on behalf of PMT, Camp Welfare Committee Meetings, Camp Food Committee Meetings and other external Camp related meetings. Works in collaboration with the EPC Contractors to provide a united project position with RLIC.
  • Support and assure contractor development and implementation of communication & engagement programs with the objective of driving camp resident compliance with camp rules and regulations in support of a safe, harmonious and productive camp environment.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor degree in Humanities or Business or equivalent experience in senior management position of workers camps.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in management, operations and maintenance of industrial workers camps (construction, O&G, mining etc). Direct experience in camp administration and reporting. Proven and demonstrated experience in development of camp reporting and communication.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Strong analytical and data presentation skills.
  • Strong planning, organizational and prioritizing skills.
  • Good computer literacy skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Sound understanding of development and implementation of effective communications strategies and systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage at various levels within the organization.
