Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Expertise: Lead the development and enhancement of the Insurance Finance system using Java, Oracle, and Flutter. Provide technical guidance, design, and implement complex functionalities.
  2. Functional Knowledge: Work closely with business users and stakeholders in the finance department to understand the insurance finance processes and translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  3. Accounting Knowledge: Utilize strong knowledge of insurance finance and accounting processes, including premium accounting, claims accounting, reinsurance, taxation, and financial reporting.
  4. Solution Design & Implementation: Design and develop scalable, robust, and efficient solutions that align with business goals. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  5. Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new systems or enhancements into the existing IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth data exchange between platforms like core insurance systems and finance applications.
  6. Customization & Support: Customize the finance system to meet the unique needs of the organization and provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the finance team.
  7. Testing & Quality Assurance: Oversee the creation of test cases, conduct functional testing, and ensure the system is robust, secure, and meets quality standards.
  8. Stakeholder Communication: Engage with business users and technical teams to provide updates, clarify requirements, and ensure a clear understanding of system changes.
  9. Documentation & Training: Develop detailed technical and functional documentation. Provide training to end users and assist in system adoption and change management.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  1. Technical Skills: Strong experience with Java and Oracle databases in large-scale environments.
  2. Hands-on experience with Flutter for developing modern mobile and web-based solutions.
  3. Deep understanding of system architecture, integration, and design principles.
  4. Accounting/Finance Knowledge: Strong accounting knowledge, particularly in Insurance Finance (premium, claims, reinsurance, etc.).
  5. Ability to understand and interpret financial data and processes in the context of insurance companies.

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Techno-Functional role with a focus on Insurance Finance.
  2. Proven experience working on large, complex finance systems within the insurance domain.
  3. Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles, coupled with technical development expertise.

Soft Skills:

  1. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  2. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  3. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Education: BE, MBA, Finance, Accounting, or related field. Relevant certifications in Insurance Finance, Java, or Oracle are a plus.
