About The Role

As a Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the QDF warehouse and sub-stores. Ensure the right resources are in place and operating effectively to meet and exceed operational targets. Utilise support teams to maximise productivity safely, whilst continually looking for and implementing business improvements that promote best-practice activities. Monitor costs, running continuous improvement plans to identify and implement cost savings whilst improving service to QDF and external customers. Be the primary operational contact for 3rd party clients, QR group services, facilities management, maintenance, and government agencies.

Accountabilities:

  1. Manage the day-to-day QDF Warehouse operations (including sub-stores) to ensure agreed key performance indicators are met and customer expectations exceeded.
  2. Ensure warehouse productivity and safety measures are agreed, implemented, and monitored to maximise productivity whilst managing costs and minimising operational risks and issues.
  3. Provide feedback to the HODs regarding issues around stock and space, and work with them to maximise operational efficiencies.
  4. In conjunction with warehouse maintenance and FM teams, ensure equipment is operating safely and that the working environment is clean and serviceable.
  5. Management of both Weekly and Monthly Operational Reports tailored around four core areas: Customer Key Performance Indicators, Manpower and Resource Planning Reporting, Stock Discrepancy Reporting, and Management Reporting.
  6. Ensure all Occupational Health and Safety standard operating procedures are adhered to at all times and risk assessments are carried out regularly.
  7. Conduct regular Warehouse/Bond/Sub Store inspections to ensure standards are maintained.
  8. Establish department or team objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. Regularly evaluate the department or team's objectives, plans, procedures, and practices, and make appropriate changes if needed.
  9. Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop, and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
  10. Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

About You

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

Essential

  1. Relevant College or University qualification to a minimum Bachelor's level.
  2. Minimum 7 years relevant experience.
  3. Internal and external customer advisory and management.
  4. End-to-end knowledge of warehouse management and associated systems.
  5. Health and safety management (minimum of working knowledge).
  6. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with government agencies, suppliers, and internal customers/service providers.
  7. Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction, and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.

Preferred

  1. LEAN Six-Sigma and/or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  2. Finance/accounting reconciliation. Stock control management.
  3. Experience working towards and/or with ISO 9001 environment.
  4. Working knowledge of Qatar legal and legislative requirements. Experience managing end-to-end supply chains.
