Your Tasks

  1. Act as point of contact and liaison with regulatory authority, undertake regular visits to regulatory authorities to update the permits Consent to Operate (CTO), Consent to Construct (CTC) for any new projects;
  2. Implement environmental monitoring/survey and reporting program, data collection cross functionally and review, consolidate in order to ensure that the environmental performance is in compliance with CTC and regulations;
  3. Develop scope of works for environmental surveys, evaluation of bids and contract selection and contract administration;
  4. Support and enhance OSTT capability and efficiency;
  5. Participate as required in IOGP meetings;
  6. Identify competent environmental data auditors and engage them for the environmental data verification audit every two years;
  7. Develop annual internal audit program based on the previous audit finding criticality. Identify and assign the internal lead and support auditors. Issue audit notification to the auditee team;
  8. Ensure that the internal audits are carried out as per COMPANY internal audit guideline and actions are entered in Synergy and followed up. Organize internal auditor trainings and update COMPANY EMS Internal Auditor pool;
  9. Review of chemical toxicity assay report, Safety Data Sheet and support in chemical selection in case of new chemical is introduced in COMPANY operation or drilling and ensuring new projects are adhering to the requirements;
  10. Participate in the development, review, sign-off and maintenance of EMS documents and other relevant CMS documents;
  11. Support the OSTT team for any incident preparedness and attend trainings as applicable;
  12. Ensure that the E learning package relevant to Environmental projects as necessary;
  13. Facilitate the environmental trainings and awareness program including wildlife and ISO 14001:2015 among COMPANY staff. Support efforts to advise department heads on appropriate training requirements for company employees and contractors on environmental compliance;
  14. Validate quality assurance/control in all aspects of the implementation of requirements for projects, ensuring appropriate levels of documentation at all stages;
  15. Promote and raise environmental awareness, at all levels of the organization, related to the impact of emerging environmental issues, and legislative requirements or best practice. Train staff at all levels in environmental issues and responsibilities.

Your Profile

  1. B.Sc. degree in engineering discipline or Environmental Science with preferably an advanced master's degree from an accredited university in related science or engineering discipline;
  2. Minimum 10 years professional experience in an environment compliance team in an operational setting (preferably 10 to 15 years hands on experience in oil and gas industry projects);
  3. Thorough knowledge and understanding of local environmental legislation;
  4. Strong understanding of ISO 14001 EMS, preferably with experience of system auditing and implementation;
  5. Good understanding of International best practices and standards e.g. IFC, IPIECA;
  6. Demonstrated ability to develop long range goals, strategies and plans and ultimately implement such plans to successful completion;
  7. Demonstrated leadership qualities in the supervision of highly qualified technical personnel;
  8. Experience with common office environment software, data base and computer technology;
  9. Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines;
  10. Strong report writing and analytical skills;
  11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills {English};
  12. Understanding of financial management, expenditure approval and tendering processes including good business principles;
  13. Demonstrate high standards for ethics and integrity and relate these to HSE-Q programs.
