Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for piping and layout engineering activities for NFPS Compression COMP8a Project (Brownfield Scope);
  • Ensuring that all piping and layout activities comply with project requirements and specifications;
  • Through effective collaboration and management of engineering contractor and COMPANY stakeholder to ensure on-time project delivery;
  • Provides visible safety leadership through active participation in the NFPS Compression EPC Project Safety Program;
  • Reviews the detailed design developed by the Contractor and verifies compliance with COMPANY standards and objectives. Understand and communicate the requirements of Company to Contractor;
  • Efficiently translate Company requirements and data into an efficient delivery from the Contractor and verify compliance with Company requirements, standards, specifications, and instructions;
  • Manage the Contractor in the safe delivery of the detailed design scope of piping & layout components;
  • Monitor the progress and delivery of the engineering sections of the work scope.

Your Tasks:

  • Responsible to ensure Contractor delivers complete Piping & Layout engineering deliverables during EPC execution;
  • Ensures the achievement of assigned goals and the fulfillment of the project quality requirements and contractual obligations;
  • Responsible to check, review, and appraise all piping & layout technical documents (specifications, calculation notes, drawings, etc.) developed by Contractor for compliance with project scopes and requirements and identify potential risks to the project if any;
  • Manage EPC Contractor's Piping and Layout disciplines resources to ensure work completion on time;
  • Responsible for all model reviews conducted during EPC;
  • Monitors and reports actual progress including SP3D model development to ensure Contractor completion of key milestones;
  • Provide technical support to the project and coordinate multi-discipline input on piping & layout deliverables;
  • Participate in various project workshops such as Hazardous Operations (HAZOP or HAZID etc.) reviews;
  • Assists with COMPANYMS expectations as required especially Risk Assessment, Facility Design and Construction, and Management of Change;
  • Tracking and reporting of lessons learned in the defined area of responsibility;
  • Works in a highly visible project environment with large capital expenditures and significant schedule execution pressures;
  • Works in a dynamic environment that has high expectations for flawless project execution in safety, quality, cost, and schedule performance which requires the incumbent to demonstrate accuracy, initiative, and the ability to multi-task as essential skills;
  • Well-established awareness of policies and procedures with high expectations for business controls compliance and to further develop controls to meet changing needs.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent;
  • 15+ years of experience in piping & layout discipline with at least five years of lead engineering experience in offshore brownfield projects;
  • Minimum three executed offshore brownfield project experience;
  • Experience with EPC contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors involved in the oil and gas industry;
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds;
  • Knowledgeable in Codes & Standards;
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
