Key Responsibilities

  1. Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.
  2. Cost Control: Monitor and track construction costs against the project budget, identify variances, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  3. Forecasting: Develop cost forecasts for the duration of the project, adjusting for changes in scope, schedule, and material costs.
  4. Project Support: Provide ongoing cost engineering support throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design to construction and completion.
  5. Contract Management: Review contractor invoices and manage the progress payment process, ensuring that work completed matches the agreed-upon schedule and costs.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education & Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or an international equivalent.

Experience

Minimum 7+ years of experience in cost estimation, cost engineering, or financial support for large-scale construction projects.

Special Skills

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, SAP).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and cost structures.
  • Familiarity with cost databases, benchmarking, and cost engineering principles.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and interact with contractors, project managers, and stakeholders.
