The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights that aid in strategic decision-making. Their duties include gathering financial information from various sources, conducting detailed analysis, and creating financial models to forecast future trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including revenue, expenses, and budgets, to provide insights into the organization's financial performance.
  2. Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans by analyzing trends and making recommendations for future financial decisions.
  3. Analyze financial variances between actual and budgeted figures, investigating reasons behind discrepancies and providing actionable recommendations.
  4. Develop complex financial models to support decision-making processes, such as forecasting future financial outcomes and evaluating investment opportunities.
  5. Gather and compile financial data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness for analysis and reporting purposes.
  6. Prepare and present financial reports, summaries, and findings to management, translating complex data into understandable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
  7. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for various projects and initiatives, identifying areas for cost reduction or process improvement.
  8. Monitor financial trends in the market and industry, staying abreast of economic developments that might impact the organization's financial performance.
  9. Provide strategic financial recommendations based on analysis and evaluation, suggesting improvements in financial processes and policies.
  10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including accounting, marketing, and operations, to gather data and gain insights into the overall business performance.
  11. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, staying updated on accounting principles and industry best practices.
  12. Evaluate financial risks and propose strategies to mitigate potential losses, contributing to the organization's risk management efforts.
  13. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required, addressing specific financial queries from management or stakeholders.
  14. Perform any relevant additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the immediate superior(s).

Skills:

  • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or any related field.
  • 5-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a related industry.
  • The attainment of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is a plus.

  • Time management skills.

  • Good communication/interpretation skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under deadline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
