Role Purpose:

Cloud Operations Engineers are IT professionals responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based systems for businesses. They play a crucial role in developing and implementing cloud applications, migrating existing on-premises applications to the cloud, and troubleshooting cloud stacks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and monitor a well-informed cloud approach and transition plan.
  2. Regularly examine cloud applications, hardware, and software.
  3. Create and manage cloud-based systems across platforms like Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, and Oracle.
  4. Collaborate with IT security to monitor the company's cloud privacy.
  5. Respond promptly and competently to technical difficulties.
  6. Assist in infrastructure migration strategies, including mass application transfers to the cloud.
  7. Identify optimal cloud architecture options to align with the organization's strategic goals.
  8. Translate project-specific requirements into a cloud structure considering resource utilization and scalability.
  9. Design comprehensive cloud environments meeting all company needs.
  10. Perform deployment, maintenance, monitoring, and management activities within the cloud framework.
  11. Ensure cloud security measures are in place.
  12. Integrate new applications into the cloud environment.
  13. Provide training and support for employees interacting with the cloud structure.
  14. Monitor cloud space usage and ensure system smoothness.
  15. Work with corporate clients to understand their requirements and implement cloud solutions to meet those needs.
  16. Conduct migrations to transfer tools and other aspects to the cloud as necessary.
  17. Utilize virtualization technologies for effective server administration.
  18. Architect and design solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
  19. Create and review architecture and solution design artifacts.
  20. Provide technical direction and lead a group of architects toward common goals.
  21. Enforce adherence to architectural standards, product-specific guidelines, and usability design standards.
  22. Analyze and operate at various levels of abstraction.
  23. Ensure suitable sizing of solutions, technology fit, and disaster recovery planning.
  24. Stay updated on emerging cloud technology trends and define new patterns and standards as needed.
  25. Drive the development of blueprints and deliverables to enhance cloud capabilities.
  26. Collaborate with team members to design and develop end-to-end processes aligning with defined architecture.
  27. Continuously improve processes to deliver high-quality information and enhance overall effectiveness.

Required Competencies:

  1. Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic preferred.
  2. Strong leadership skills to guide project execution and team management.
  3. Excellent communication skills to engage constructively with stakeholders.
  4. Experience managing a PMO responsible for multiple, complex projects.

Experience and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT field.
  2. Project or Program Management qualification (e.g., Azure, Google, AWS, Oracle Certifications).
