AVEVA ELECTRICAL & INSTRUMENTATION ADMINISTRATOR

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Min 7 years as Administrator of Design tools of Instrumentation or Electrical and a minimum 3 years as administrator for AVEVA Tools.
  • Total 5 years' experience as administrator in Major Organizations of type - Owner Operators / Large size EPC / Product resellers (e.g. AVEVA).
  • AVEVA Instrumentation and Electrical Experience - Strong knowledge in one and good knowledge in another.
  • Familiarity in Data management, Data class libraries, Class definitions.
  • Good communication skills – Oral and Written.

POSITION TO REPORT: 3D CAD Administration Engineer

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure awareness of and compliance with HSE rules and regulations by subordinates and contractors.
  • Ensure the implementation, availability, update and accurate ALS field E&I data using AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation.
  • Management of all Brownfield and Greenfield projects and keep the AL Shaheen field wide Engineering data updated.
  • Ensure that E&C requirements regarding the reference, format, and handover of E&I data, Datasheets, registers, lists, drawings and documents by Contractors are properly applied and issued.

JOB DIMENSIONS

  • Managed position: None
  • Application setup and configuration, development, and administration of Libraries, Drawing templates, Symbols, Reports of AVEVA suite of engineering and design software tools for implementation in Company.
  • Support pre-project studies and Detailed & Installation Engineering activities and provide support for integration across AVEVA suite of products.
  • Liaise with NOC's shareholders Technical Authorities and committees, Production & Procurement department.

ACTIVITIES

  • Ensure and promote the application of HSE and Safety Engineering rules and specifications.
  • Ensure that Contractors comply at all times with safety rules, taking actions as required in case of disregards.
  • Promote safety culture within company personnel and contractors as well as reporting of anomalies.
  • Ensure and monitor the safety of personnel and installations as well as protection of the environment in his activities.
  • Development and Management of Catalogue, Symbols.
  • Configuration of drawings template/SEED for Termination, Loop, Hook-up, Installation, Cable Block, KOL/SLD Drawings.
  • Configuration of Lists, Reports, Rules. Management of Class Definitions in conjunction with Company MDM.
  • Maintenance of a Centralized Electrical database and Tag master list for the ALS field.
  • Setup Data replication between Company master and manage data exchange between Company, EPC contractors, EPsCm contractors satellite locations and ensure continuous data exchange.
  • AVEVA E&I Administration, Audit & Controls and performance of routine checks through verification and project auditing.
  • Customize reports from AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation to prepare Master Electrical List, Instrument Index, Cable schedule etc. Manage the List, Index and Datasheet templates as per Company standards.
  • Integration of data with AVEVA E3D, AVEVA Engineering, Diagrams and AVEVA Net.
  • Set up AVEVA Electrical and Instrumentation with necessary integration of master data management.
  • Setup and customize Compare and Update. Ensure that the Comparison being carried out by Contractors and resolving the issues before the data handover.
  • Develop or support the development of standards, guidelines for the management of the tools.
  • Develop Plan, Company standards, User guidelines for the management of Electrical and Instrumentation database that covers but not limited to the management of Datasheet template, View grids, Datasheet grids.
  • Provide guidelines and specifications to setup Application and database at Engineering Contractors offices.
  • Ensure the data produced and maintained are as per the Company procedure and ensure the requirements are followed so that the data is consistent and easy to use and maintain.
  • Project setup, Coordination with relevant discipline engineers during detailed engineering and as-built digital documentation to support Company's plan of digital handover.
  • Promote adoption of the usage of the tools and data by emphasizing and establishing the Value gained in using data driven approach.
  • Support Administration and Management of 3D modelling activities.
  • Propose, and implement continuous improvements for Application, Data management and workflow.
  • Evaluate new Software versions, developments and adopt them for advancement of the E&I Data usage.
  • Prepare the Electrical and Instrumentation data for the interface and data population with AVEVA Net. Support to Digital Twin and 1D data population activities to DPG.
  • Responsibility for quality and safety for discipline activities for data updation executed under the 3D modeling contract and report planning/budgeting issues.
  • Contribute to the development of the plans, schedules and estimates for the individual E&C project scopes.
  • Report to Lead on a weekly basis and when decisions impacting E&C activities must be taken.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

  • Interfaces within E&C department
  • Main internal clients are Engineering and Construction division, FOPS, Digital Twin, and IT.
  • Doha (Qatar) office, Standard office hours, 5 days a week with occasional offshore visits.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Engineering – in relevant Technical domain or equivalent.
  • Recognized expertise, In-depth knowledge and Hands-on experience in setting up and administration of AVEVA Engineering for oil & gas facilities with minimum 10 years of experience. Owner operator experience will be an advantage.
  • Good exposure to AVEVA Instrumentation, AVEVA Electrical, AVEVA Engineering and Integration tools with associated skills in Engineering & Construction aspects and competencies in multi disciplines (Mech, PVV, Safety, E&I, etc.).
  • Expert user of SQL, Excel with ability to automate upload, refine and process the data using Excel.
  • Experience in using AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Diagrams and AVEVA Net will be an advantage.
  • Experience in Data management, Data class libraries, Class definitions.
  • Experience in Interface management with other tools specifically AVEVA tools to integrate the information.
  • Ability to work within a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Extensive (minimum 5 years) experience in AVEVA Instrumentation and Electrical.
