Description

Qatar Airways is looking for a candidate who is responsible to ensure the robustness and integrity of Qatar Airways IT operations. The role involves a continuous assurance process and development of a comprehensive assurance program within IT. The focus is on identifying areas for improvement, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and conducting regular reviews on various aspects of IT domains, processes, SOPs etc. The aim is to enhance operational efficiency and ensure adherence to best practices.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive Assurance program for Qatar Airways IT, prioritizing review steps and test plans. Develop assurance strategies and advise Senior Management on recommendations and correction actions.
• Understand current business risks and controls to identify areas of risk that may require stronger controls. Plan and scope internal review/assurance projects, execute project plans, prepare written findings and facilitate business responses and action items.
• Analyze business processes, procedures and perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations and identify gaps for corrective measures.
• Review various processes and controls to identify risks, evaluate and test controls and identify gaps for corrective measures.
• Contribute to the Internal Audit risk assessment and audit planning process.
• Work with senior leaders across QR IT to drive continuous improvements that directly help our customers.
• Dive deep into the details to develop meaningful findings and recommend root cause remediation. Document risks and communicate them to appropriate departments and personnel of the organization.
• Follow up on review findings and remediation plans and activities and perform retesting as required. Prepare initial draft reports and work with management to ensure corrective actions address root cause.
• Present review findings to IT Management through status updates and meetings.

Qualifications

About You

• Minimum 6 years' experience in Infrastructure Audits, Operating system, database and support, security & vulnerability tracking and/or related experience
• Broad experience in IT Operations, IT Audit and Compliance
• Experience and knowledge of ISO 2021
• Experience of reporting (PowerBI or tableau)
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification
• Understand IT controls around technical environments and evaluation of risk-based controls across functional IT areas
• Strong communicator with ability to present information to various levels of management on a formal and informal basis
• Ability to understand complex business processes and identify the full range of risks
• Extensive knowledge of audit practices, procedures and reporting standards
• Knowledge of IT governance and operations
• Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate & follow through on projects
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
