JOB SUMMARY &PURPOSE: Manage all financial activities related to NakilatSvitzerWijsmuller (NSW) to ensure informative, timely and accuratemanagement reports in compliance with applicable laws, rules andregulations. As well as manage and implement sustainable financialcontrols to ensure Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller (NSW) operations andbusiness are in a profitable manner. ACCOUNTABILITIES: •Contribute to the formulation of the divisional strategy inalignment with NAKILAT and Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller (NSW)strategies and support its implementation. • Participatein translating the divisional strategy into annual business plan,monitor implementation and progress, and recommend correctiveactions as needed. • Plan, develop and lead an efficientand robust Finance function to support Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller(NSW)’ s strategic planning initiatives, operations andactivities. Key Accountabilities: Internal Controls: •Develop the Company financial policies and procedures and overseetheir proper implementation to support the financial practices andachieve the planned objectives. • Oversee all applicablefinancial controls and ensure adequate assessment and mitigation ofrisk as well as compliance with applicable regulatory and otherlegal requirements. Financial Management: • Provide anindependent and constructive perspective to commercial andoperations teams, to ensure the business decisions are grounded onsolid financial criteria. • Support NakilatSvitzerWijsmuller (NSW) MD with insights on the financial positionof the Company, by presenting an objective view of the financialsituation and providing sound recommendations for the allocationsof resources in the most efficient way to achieve the businessgoals and objectives. • Oversee the activity-based costingand make recommendations for cost reduction and profit improvement.• Lead all function’s objectives and KPIs set bythe Company in accordance with the approved plan and timelines.• Review the monthly budget variances analysis andsegments profitability and recommend corrective action to avoidadverse variances and deviation from the business plan. •Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds asneeded. • Oversee the relationship with variousstakeholders, i.e. external auditors and Nakilat Finance. KnowledgeTransfer: • Build the team skills, through transformationinitiatives and major change programs, and raise awareness andknowledge of applicable financial policies and procedures.• Manage Nakilat SvitzerWijsmuller (NSW)’ sFinance staff to deliver the set functional objectives. GenericAccountabilities: People Leadership: • Manage NakilatSvitzerWijsmuller (NSW) finance staff, cascade the objectives andpriorities and ensure the team capability to accomplish theday-to-day finance related activities, by ensuring continuoustraining and professional education for the team members asrequired. Change Management: • Contribute to managingchange in the team by providing inputs for and taking part inchange initiatives, programs and projects that are aligned with theCompany strategy and best practice. Safety, Health, Quality,& Environment (SHEQ) • Oversee and ensurecompliance with all relevant SHEQ policies, procedures and controlsacross the finance function. Budgets and Plans: • Overseethe budget preparation and execution, rolling forecasts and costmanagement, in alignment with the Company’s strategicplan. Systems and Processes: • Lead the transformationrelated to digital technology to effectively manage, analyze andpresent data in a way that yields the greatest value for thebusiness. Others: • Oversee the year-end audit task andensure appropriate monitoring and supporting of disclosed numbersin the Financial Statements and notes. • Carry out otherstrategic duties as directed by Nakilat Chairman, NakilatSvitzerWijsmuller (NSW) MD and Nakilat CFO.
