  • Prepare patientsfor examinations by explaining procedures and providinginstructions on how to behave during theexamination
  • Prepare patients for treatment bywashing their hands with antibacterial soap and putting on steriledrapes over their bodies or arranging instruments on a sterile traytable
  • Record information about the patient,including medical history, diagnosis, treatment plan, andprogress
  • Observe patients during examinationsto ensure they follow instructions and are in goodhealth
  • Perform basic nursing tasks such asadministering eye drops, giving eye exams, and cleaningequipment
  • Maintain patient records to tracktreatment progress, health problems, anddiagnoses
