• Welcomes guests upon check-in andcheck-out, and uses guests' names. • Handlesreservations, amendments, cancellation, confirmation, check-intime, guarantee a reservation. • Familiar with thereservation system and equipment, rate structure, and specialpackages including all segments packages, travel vouchers, beddingtype, whole sale rates, location of rooms within the hotel, safetyfeatures, upselling. • Extensive knowledge of the hotelfacilities and surrounding areas. • Uphold thehotel's commitment to gracious hospitality and followthrough on staff courtesy and company values. •Familiarize with names of VIP, complimentary, and pre-registeredguests at the start of each shift by reviewing reports provided bythe Front Office Manager and senior management. • Logs allcomplaints on appropriate sheet, including the guest'sname, room number, with time, complaint, and actions taken.• Absolute knowledge of all hotel products, promotions,events, functions happening in the hotel. • Maintains anactive presence in the hotel lobby to greet and attends promptly tocustomer's inquiries and assist them with their needs.• Provides solution to the guests' concerns andissues as per the hotel policy. • Presents and maintainsproper decorum at all times. • Keeps senior managementinformed of the latest ideas affecting the operation of thedepartment. • Deals with any guests' complaintsconcerning the service and performance extended by the department.• Adheres to set procedures for attendance andtimekeeping. • Carries out other duties andresponsibilities as assigned by the Front Office Manager and otherSenior Staff. • Notifies senior management or shiftsupervisor of any problems during the balancing and cashing outprocedures. • Balances the total debits and credits postedduring the shift. • Efficiently handles cash, travelvouchers, etc. • Accepts cash for payment after obtainingidentification from guests "no posts" the accountto ensure no outstanding balances. • Verifies all accountsto be billed have been previously approved by manager, and where tosend the billing. • Adheres to the hotel credit policy andsettlement procedures when accepting any form of payment from theguest.
