Mathematics Instructor

ResponsibilitiesYour commitmentReporting tothe Head of the Department - Mathematics, the part-time instructoris ideally an experienced educator with creative and innovativeteaching skills who can effectively plan, develop, and delivercourse content in UDST s undergraduate Mathematics curriculum. Thesuccessful candidate will also be responsible for evaluatingstudent progress, collaborating with faculty teaching teams, andmanaging resources in the learningenvironment.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications• AMaster's or PhD degree in Mathematics or Statistics or arelated applied field• At least 3 years of full-timeteaching experience in post-secondary, or higher educationinstitutions Preferred Qualifications• Post-graduatecertificate, diploma, or degree in education teachingmethods• Strong proficiency in written and spokenEnglish• Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (e.g.D2L) and adaptive learning technologies Other RequiredSkills• Commitment to creating and evaluating authenticassessment tools that validly and reliably measure mastery ofcourse learning outcomes while promoting lifelonglearning• Demonstrate ability to use a variety ofeducational technology and learning platforms.•Demonstrated ability to develop technology-enriched learningenvironments that enable students to be active participants intheir education• Digital literacy and demonstrated fluencyin learning management systems and an ability to model andfacilitate the use of current and emerging digital platformscommitted to student learning and feedback.• Manage theresources of the learning environment and course portfoliodocuments required for program review and accreditationprocesses.• Effective oral and written communicationskills• Collaborative and collegial spirit and ademonstrated ability to establish rapport with learners,colleagues
