Construction Superintendent EI

• Provide Company representation inmonitoring and coordinating the fabrication site activities of EPCContractor and its sub-contractors for all electrical, control andinstrument installations; managing the planning, preparation andexecution of all aspects of the E&I Construction of theTopsides for the Project at the fabrication site. Effective issueresolution through interfacing with both Company and Contractorteams is an essential component of the role to ensure fullalignment on the execution of theProject.
• Responsible for supervising theE&I construction work to ensure safely completed as perapplicable HSE and qualitystandards.

KeyAccountabilities

• Review and monitorproject electrical design, including engineering / site queries,field design changes, deviation requests, non-conformance reportsand EPC Contractor design change or deviations from Companydirectives ensuring compliance with management of changeprocedures. Participate as required in incident /accidentinvestigation and prevention of recurrence. Promotes safetyawareness and safe performance among project team members,including consultants and contractorpersonnel.
• Provide Company representation inmonitoring and coordinating the site E&I activities of EPCContractor, vendor and its sub-contractors for all electrical,control and instrument installations. Report on the constructionand pre-commissioning activities, progress, areas of concern andmitigating actions. Prepare for and participate in constructionrelated meetings.
• Provide guidance and timelyreview on EPC Contractor’s electrical engineering designsand processes verifying fitness for purpose and compliance withcontract requirements including codes and standards and ensure PMTor other technical support is available to address anygaps.
• Coordinate EPC Contractor,vendor’s work activities, and interface coordination withthe activities of third parties. Review of method statements, JSAsand other documents to ensure safe and proper construction and PMCby EPC Contractor. Ensure construction and pre-commissioning worksare carried out in accordance with Company rules, regulations,standards and permit to work procedures asapplicable.
• ·Support Topsides Leadin delivery of the Engineering and Process design of electrical andcontrol systems and coordinate the field installation of the EPCelectrical systems, providing pre-commissioning, start-up andcommissioning support as required.
• Providetechnical support and advice to project procurement andconstruction activities and support Topsides Lead in monitoring theEPC Contractor progress on delivery of the required documents inthe electrical engineering discipline.
• Promoteinter-departmental communications and encourage teamwork throughmanaging the electrical engineering interface between Engineering,Commissioning and Operations.
• Review work andinspection results to ensure compliance with EPC Contractrequirements. Interface and coordinate with Project FieldEngineering and QC Sections. Monitor and ensure the correction ofnon-conformance report items and other issues supporting QA/QCcompliance. Monitor site material handling and preservation tofacilitate construction progress and quality ofmaterials.
• Review the constructionsequence/logic, work plan/procedures, pre-task planning and methodsstatement to ensure effective work execution andsafety.
