Marine Electrician

We are seeking a skilled and experiencedMarine Electrician to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a MarineElectrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining,and repairing electrical systems on marine vessels and offshoreplatforms. Your expertise in marine electrical systems andequipment will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe andefficient operation of our fleet. The ideal candidate will have astrong background in marine electrical systems, exceptionalproblem-solving skills, and the ability to work in challengingenvironments. Responsibilities: • Install, maintain, andrepair electrical systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms.• Inspect and test electrical systems to ensure they meetsafety and performance standards. • Diagnose electricalissues and develop effective solutions to repair or replace faultycomponents. • Read and interpret electrical schematics,blueprints, and technical manuals. • Collaborate withother members of the crew, including engineers and technicians, totroubleshoot and resolve electrical problems. • Assist inthe installation and maintenance of navigation and communicationsystems. • Ensure compliance with relevant safetyregulations and protocols. • Keep accurate records ofelectrical maintenance and repair activities. •Participate in training programs and stay updated on the latestdevelopments in marine electrical systems. • Adhere tocompany policies and procedures, including safety protocols andenvironmental regulations. Preferred Candidate: • Priorexperience as a Marine Electrician or similar role in the marineindustry. • Strong knowledge of marine electrical systems,including AC and DC circuits, generators, motors, and controlpanels. • Proficient in reading and interpretingelectrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability todiagnose and resolve electrical issues. • Attention todetail and commitment to ensuring work is completed to the higheststandards. • Ability to work effectively in a teamenvironment and collaborate with other crew members. •Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. •Physical fitness and the ability to work in challengingenvironments, including confined spaces and at heights. •Valid electrical license/certification is preferred.
