Key Job Accountabilities •Investigate operational issues, problems and requests for support,in coordination with colleagues and other stakeholders, seekingeffective solutions. Analyzes underlying issues and their rootcauses, and identifies available options for resolution. •Responds to requests for support by means of making systemmodifications, developing work-arounds, manipulating data,reconfiguring systems, changing operating procedures, trainingusers, producing documentation, or escalating requests todevelopment team or software suppliers. • Monitorsprogress of requests for support and ensures users and otherstakeholders are kept informed. Takes corrective action to avoid orminimise delays. • Carries out routine configuration,installation and reconfiguration of Business Applications, DatabaseManagement Systems, and related Tools & Technologies.• Coordinates with colleagues and other stakeholders tospecify data, data objects and information flows that align withthe needs of the business. • Defines, documents andexecutes projects, actively participating in all phases of theproject. Identifies, assesses and manages risks and issues whichmight impact on the success of the project. • Prepares andmaintains realistic project schedules (showing tasks anddependencies) and quality plans and tracks all activities againstthem, providing regular and accurate reports as appropriate.• Ensures compliance with information security policiesand standards. Assesses configurations and security procedures foradherence to legal and regulatory requirements. • Ensuresall work is carried out and documented in accordance with requiredstandards, policies and procedures. Required Qualification Musthave a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, InformationTechnology, Information Systems or other relevant discipline.Required Experience • Minimum 8 years' of ITexperience (ideally within Oil & Gas industry) •Competent knowledge in core skill applications, tools, andtechniques • Conversant with relevant IT national andinternational standards • Demonstrated experience inproject management • Demonstrated experience in IT supportenvironment • Excellent written and spoken English• Strong project management skills • Stronginterpersonal skills • Strong analytical problem-solvingskills • Specialized technical expertise and broader ITknowledge • Compliance to risk, security and continuitymanagement principles
