Income Auditor

As Income Auditor, youwill monitor all transactions as they contribute to or detracthotel revenue. Specifically, you will be responsible for performingthe following tasks to the highest standards: • Carry outdaily checks of revenue via an Operations Audit as per hotelstandards • Reconcile and monitor commissions, housekeeperand rate discrepancies, and Conference and Banqueting Revenueagainst daily function sheets • Check non-arrivals, latedepartures, no sales/voids, management bills, bill sequence andpay-outs • Check bills signed to Room Account and recordall covers • Spot-check Function Diary and the settlementof function bills • Reconcile telephone, Pay TV, newspaperrevenue, guest laundry income, corrections and allowance •Ensure Advanced Deposits are current • Audit the hoteldaily revenue figures supporting reports and vouchers •Ensure that all revenue is captured and reported • Reviewall entertainment dockets and officers checks, ensuring that allare authorized and signed and have appropriate level of detail• Check that complimentary rooms have been appropriatelyauthorized • Audit the telephone interface report toensure all telephone revenue has been posted • Ensure therelevant Front Office and Outlet reports are printed, audited andfiled in date order • Verify transactions posted in thedaily report, including but not limited to credit cards, cityledger, paid outs, allowances and rebates, miscellaneous charges,car park revenues, and room safe keys • Prepare rebate andallowance summary and rebate journal • Reconcile creditcard charges between electronic credit card machine and Point ofSale system on a daily basis • Input and allocate creditcard payments from bank statements, following up on anydiscrepancies • Prepare daily revenue report for the HotelManagement • Audit the daily cash summary prepared by theGeneral Cashier and records the summary in the GeneralCashier’s Report • Check the Room RateDiscrepancy Report to ensure that all rate changes, upgrades etc.have been properly authorized • Record cashier overs/underin the relevant reports and follow up with the Outlet Managers orFront Office Manager • Follow up on any discrepancies• Ensure all paid out vouchers have proper authorization,signatures and backup • Audit the daily food and beveragereport and verify the cashier’s remittances to theGeneral Cashier’s Report • Ensure that allrestaurant and bar checks are properly accounted for •Ensure that all banquets and functions revenue is entered• Ensure the accurate and timely input of data to theGeneral Ledger system • Recommend improvements toprocesses as required • Execute on tasks/requests asinstructed by the Finance Manager
