Clinical Nurse DI

The Clinical Nurse isresponsible for competently providing safe and effective directcare. The Clinical Nurse assesses care needs, plans, implements andevaluates programs of care to include patients and families. TheClinical Nurse is responsible for ensuring that all duties arecarried out to the highest possible standard, aligned to SidraStandards of Practice. The Clinical Nurse participates in thesupervision, orientation and training of staff and is responsiblefor education of patients, families and students. The ClinicalNurse is professionally accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer.KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Professionalism and Ethical PracticePractices within the DHP Scope of Practice according to licensurewithin the State of Qatar Provides total individualized patientcare and assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing,planning, implementing and evaluating care, discharge planning foreach patient. Ensures timely documentation of care, dischargeplanning and family education aligned to Sidra standards ofdocumentation Demonstrates critical thinking skills by problemsolving appropriately during patient care Independently initiatesescalation of issues following the chain of command, utilizingresources as needed Independently maintains licensure andregulatory requirements (e.g. life support certifications and CPDrequirements) Meets requirements of organizational, profession anddepartmental/role specific orientation competencies Rolemodel’s appearance and behaviors that promote a positiveimage of nursing Adheres to time and attendance requirementsParticipates in new staff/student orientation, assists inmaintaining a suitable learning environment and acts as apreceptor/mentor in the supervision and teaching of newstaff/students to develop their competence.
