  • Identifies outcomes with regard topatient care delivery and timely care.
  • Assuresquality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuringhealth outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making orrecommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursingdivision's philosophies and standards of care set by QCHP,and other governing agencyregulations.
  • Provides basic assessment skillsto assess the signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, or generalappearance to determine normal versus abnormalcharacteristics.
  • Delivers safe and appropriatepatient care to a specific patient population using nursingprocess.
  • Provides direct and indirect careservices, including, but not limited to, the administration ofmedications and therapeutic agents necessary to implementtreatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan ofcare.
  • Performs skin tests, immunizations,phlebotomy, and the initiation of peripheral venousaccess.
  • Observes signs and symptoms of illness,reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and/orgeneral physical condition.
  • Plans patient carebased on assessment, validated by peers. Implements appropriatereporting, referrals, and care in accordance with standardizedprocedures. Initiates emergency procedures whenindicated.
  • Provides care to special patientpopulations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds.Identifies patient’s readiness for learning and abilityto follow directions/instructions and giveconsent.
  • Makes special adjustments to patientcare as required to the specific populations needs, includingcultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender,sexual orientation, economic, education, family, and conditionneeds.
  • Identifies and assesses patient safetyconcerns with respect to age and developmental considerations.Intervenes to provide a safe environment and evaluateseffectiveness of intervention forpatient.
  • Provides and accurately documents inthe electronic medical record direct and indirect patient careservices that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, andprotection of patients in a timelymanner.
  • Maintains a cooperative relationshipamong health care teams by communicating information; responding torequests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solvingmethods.
