Job Summary The Lifting Supervisor isresponsible in ensuring safe, efficient lifting and handlingoperations on in accordance with company standards and local andinternational regulations/requirements. This role is alsoresponsible in carrying out Crane Lifts on site, supervising allCrane Lifts, completing out daily paper work and checklists,ensuring all lifts are in accordance with the site lift plans andall other associated duties as and when required. JobResponsibilities 1 Plan, coordinate and supervise all liftingactivities in the project. Ensures all the lifting gears are validand in operational condition. Conduct pre-task talks to brief alllifting team members (i.e., crane operators, riggers and signalmen)on the Lifting Plan, risk control measures and safe liftingprocedure before the commencement of any lifting operation. Ensuresall the lift/rigger follows and practice policies as set in theLifting Operators Manual. Prepare the Lifting Plan and also ensurethe validity of Permit-To-Work (PTW) prior to start of liftingoperation. Ensures that the operators of mobile cranes and allrelated lifting equipments conduct pre-operation check usingcompany prescribed checklist. Check the weight of loads and radiusto ensure proper understanding is acquired prior to liftingoperation. Job Responsibilities 2 Conduct area inspection prior tolifting operation, setup of barricade area as well as setup of atlifting area to ensure safety. Coordinates and supervises alllifting activities in accordance with the Lifting Plan. Ensuressuitable measures to rectify the conditions if any unsafeconditions are reported, for safe and continuous operation.Conducts the practice on-job training of all the lift standard andfill out practical training reports. Performs minor maintenancetasks. Ensures all rigging tackles used for lifting are in goodcondition and color coded as per Monthly color code. Monitors ourequipment’s in the site and coordinate our client of anycomplain and initiate immediate action. Additional Responsibilities3 Job Knowledge & Skills • Knowledge of liftingoperations to ensure safe operation.Relevant experience in liftingoperations.In-depth expertise in structural discipline andknowledge of the related disciplines.Deeper understanding of loadcharts, different types of jibs, lifting clamps and loadangles/lifting angles.Understand on different types of liftingclamps and their safe usages • ERP knowledge preferablySAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in thisrole.
