Key Tasks andResponsibilities • Willbeworking under general supervision of a lead engineer orprojectmanager • May be assigned as a lead Subseaengineeron a small project or segment of a larger multidisciplinesprojectOversee project progress and budget monitors change ordersandattend regular project meetings • May beassigned to workon complex Subsea projects with conflicting designrequirementsunconventional materials or installation requirements •Provides technical guidance/coaching toSubsea designers and lessexperienced engineers • Research available Subsea hardwareoptions as well asstaying abreast of current design qualificationefforts in industryin order to implement them into the fieldarchitecture • Develop innovative Subsea design using newideas andtechnologies and present these in white papers at industrytradeshows • Generate cost effective fieldarchitecturedesign interfacing with Pipeline Flow Assurance RiserAnalysisMarine etc as possible • Preparedesign basis and projectexecution plan and approve projectdocumentation • Managemultiple equipmentpackages including perform and check bidevaluations organizingmeetings to ensure progress review andapprove vendor data trackvendor deliverables assist in resolutionof NCRs tracking actionitems and handling the logistics of handingover hardware to client • Assign procurement packages andsupervisepackages of less experienced engineers • Prepareand check spec datasheets reports technical notesproceduresInstructions and Notes to Bidders RFQ and procurementpackages forPO award and material requisitions • Provide bidengineering support and prepare CTR relatedto Subsea design andinstallation • Offshoresupport as required for the project• Stayupdated on McDermott ISO procedures EssentialQualifications and Education • Minimum BS Degreeinengineering(ie Mechanical Civil Structural) • years ofprofessional experience in the offshore Subsea industry •Certification as Licensed ProfessionalEngineer is preferred• Experience with Subseaequipment design testing interfaceand installation Experience inSubsea field development scenariosriser and Subsea structuredesign and installation scenarios both inshallow and deep waterPrimarily GOM • Knowledgeable ofSubsea designcodes (API DnV ASME BS) • Must havegoodinterpersonal skills and able to interface with ClientsConsultantsVendors drafting designer and other lead engineers inamultidiscipline projects • Must have goodcomputer skillsand be proficient on Microsoft Office suite (WordExcel PowerPoint)• Must be organized bothphysically and in electronic datastorage habits • Must have good writing and presentationskillsproficiency in project management Has excellent workethic andmaintain a good work attitude
