Specifically, you would be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards: •Maximise all Meeting & Events Sales revenue opportunitiesthrough up selling of function items • Closely monitoraccounts revenue and business production for Wedding accounts• Report to the GC&E Director on potential marketsneeding coverage • Meet and welcome some top key accounts,group organizers and VIP guests upon check-in • Takeresponsibility to conduct hotel inspection for all walk-ins,wedding groups • Be visible to organizers and clientsduring their event / group dates and monitor guest satisfaction• Regularly review Master A/C postings to ensure postingsare correctly done • Carry out negotiation for rates withwedding clients and organizers • Review bills withorganizers regularly to eliminate adjustments needed on finalinvoice • Ensure the highest standards of Event Managementare in place including building relationships with new/existingcustomers in order to secure rollover business • Ensurethe GC&E Team Members generate a culture of high qualitystandards for relationship building, customer service, sellingtechniques, and billing and processing contracts • Buildstrong relationships with customers, Guests and Team Members inorder to gain full understanding of their needs and work to servethem effectively • Accurate administration and control ofall Meetings and Events related reservations and blocks •Ensure that all Function Sheets are handed over the Food andBeverage Operations Team every week for the following 7- 10 daysoutline and that all the information is accurate, confirmed andbilling details documented and in line with the credit policy• To meet & greet nominated conference contact ororganizer to check on their satisfaction and the set up of themeeting rooms on the day of the event • To conduct Showrounds for companies & agents in line with the Companypolicy • To support the Food & Beverage operationsand room reservations team with information as required •Ensure all information is relayed to the Chef and Operations Teamin a timely manner to ensure they can order and roster effectively• Attend Sales events, as required Additional SalesInvolvement: • Review business plans, identify gaps andensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet set targets• Contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel, andmanage the departments’ adherence to achieving thatstrategy • To raise invoices for Events in line withquotations and forward them to the accounts departments on a dailybasis with relevant back up documentation to expedite payment• Understand the competitive market place and implementapproaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the localmarket
