Job Summary This position requires anenergetic and enthusiastic individual who will assist the Collegein achieving its mission and vision by developing technical,academic and occupationally-aligned courses and programs,delivering quality instruction in the associated area ofspecialization, and supporting learning and research consistentwith the principles and goals of an institute of applied sciencesand technology. Candidates should have an outstanding record ofteaching experience, and possess the qualifications necessary to besuccessful in the role of Academic Instructor, English as a ForeignLanguage (EFL) at the College of the North Atlantic - Qatar. TheAcademic Instructor, English as a Foreign Language (EFL) isresponsible to support the School of Foundation Studies in thefollowing areas: • Develop course outlines, syllabi,lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments to create anoptimum learning environment in alignment with theSchool’s curriculum outcomes, evolving professionalscopes of practice, and industry requirements. • Deliverinstruction to maximize student development and retention,employing a variety of teaching and development strategies to meetdiverse student needs. • Contribute to faculty, course andprogram meetings and participate in initiatives to monitor andenhance student success. • Fulfill the role ofsubject-matter-expert through various program and campus-wideactivities as well as external industry and community engagements.• Demonstrate a command of educational best practiceswithin the discipline by aligning learning assignments withinpractical industry-relevant contexts. • Maintain courseportfolio documents required for accreditation purposes and engagein instructional redevelopment/improvementplans.
