Follows up on any delinquentaccounts. Researches and decides upon credit authorization forincoming customers.CANDIDATE PROFILE Education andExperience• 4-year bachelors degree in Finance andAccounting or related major; no work experience required.CORE WORKACTIVITIESManaging Work, Projects, and Policies• Generatesand provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports,presentations, etc.• Compiles, codes, categorizes,calculates, tabulates, audits, or verifies information ordata.• Completes accounts receivable period end closingfunctions and procedures; credit and period endreporting.• Upholds the policies and procedures outlinedin the credit policy.• Interacts with sales and cateringstaff for timely credit decisions on incomingcustomers.Demonstrating and Applying Accounting Knowledge to CreditManagement Issues• Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevantissues, products, systems, and processes.• Uses computersand computer systems (including hardware and software) to program,write software, set up functions, enter data, or processinformation.• Uses relevant information and individualjudgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws,regulations, or standards.• Keeps up-to-date technicallyand applying new knowledge to your job.• Staysknowledgeable of accounts receivable system.Leading CreditManagement Team• Utilizes interpersonal and communicationskills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates soundfinancial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity;leads by example.• Staffs, manages and develops allbilling and accounts receivable employees.Maintaining Finance andAccounting Goals• Submits reports in a timely manner,ensuring delivery deadlines.• Ensures profits and lossesare documented accurately.• Achieves and exceeds goalsincluding performance goals, budget goals, team goals,etc.• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize,organize, and accomplish your work.• Monitors all taxesthat apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/oraccrued.• Ensures property billings are sent error freeand in a timely manner.• Monitors receivables for timelycollections and follows up with appropriate collectioncorrespondence.Additional Responsibilities • Providesinformation to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates bytelephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.• Providedirection and assistance to other organizational units regardingaccounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficientcontrol and utilization of financial resources.• Analyzesinformation and evaluating results to choose the best solution andsolve problems.• Informs and/or updates the executives,the peers and the subordinates on relevant information in a timelymanner.• Maintains positive working relations withcustomers and department managers.Marriott International is anequal opportunity employer.
