  • Reviews purchase order deliveryrequirements to assure quality and project requirements aremet
  • Identifies and understands levels ofrequired expediting and actions workload to optimize materialdeliveries according to project schedule requirements and shopdemands
  • Includes accurate and timely expeditingof Purchase Orders and MTRs
  • Completesconsistent and timely updates to delivery dates in the Companysystem, and distributes weekly expediting reports to the ProjectTeam and to Suppliers
  • EnsuresSupplier’s timely delivery of all items on PurchaseOrders to maintain Project schedule
  • Works withprocurement management to identify performance gaps and delaysincluding engineering drawing delays, fabrication problems,delivery delays, sub-supplier management and peopleresources
  • Ensures expediting issues are beingcoordinated between the other departments, offices, fabrication andconstruction teams to meet project requirements anddeadlines
  • Notifies and collaborates withLogistics subject matter expert on material movements that fallwithin McDermott’sresponsibility
  • Maintains and promotes a focuson McDermott’s end-product whether procurement,engineering, fabrication or constructionrelated
  • Ensures effective communications amongprocurement disciplines, clients, project teams, andsuppliers
  • Understanding and consistent use ofexpediting procedures as established in companypolicies.
