Airswiftis seeking for Principal Offshore Electrical Engineer to work inQatar with a major Oil & Gas Company. QUALIFICATIONBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relatedfield; Master's degree preferred. DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES Lead the electrical design and engineering effortsfor offshore projects, including platforms, substations, powerdistribution systems, and associated facilities. Conductfeasibility studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering todevelop cost-effective and reliable electrical solutions. Performelectrical load calculations, system sizing, and equipmentselection to meet project requirements and performance criteria.Manage electrical engineering activities throughout the projectlifecycle, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resourceallocation. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams,subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless integration ofelectrical systems within overall project objectives. Monitorproject progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implementmitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful projectdelivery. Provide technical guidance and expertise in offshoreelectrical engineering, including power generation, distribution,protection, and control systems. Conduct electrical analyses,simulations, and assessments to optimize system performance,reliability, and safety. Stay abreast of industry developments,emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to incorporatebest practices into project designs. Ensure compliance withapplicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements governingoffshore electrical systems and installations. Perform qualityreviews of electrical designs, specifications, and deliverables tomaintain high standards of engineering excellence and safety.Support internal and external audits, inspections, andcertifications related to electrical engineering Act as a primarypoint of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatoryauthorities on electrical engineering matters, addressinginquiries, providing technical guidance, and fostering strongrelationships. Participate in client meetings, presentations, anddiscussions to communicate project progress, key milestones, andtechnical solutions effectively. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 15 years ofexperience in offshore electrical engineering, with a focus on EPCprojects. Extensive knowledge of electrical design principles,codes, standards, and regulations relevant to offshoreinstallations (e.g., API, IEEE, NEC, IEC). Proficiency inelectrical engineering software tools, such as ETAP, SKM, orsimilar programs. Strong project management skills, including theability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliverresults on time and within budget. Excellent communication,presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability tocollaborate effectively with internal teams and externalstakeholders. Proven leadership experience, with a track record ofsuccessfully leading and mentoring engineeringteams
