Job Description: Senior Architect QatarParsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Architect tojoin our team In this role you will get to perform working inarchitectural design consultancy and/or for a developer,municipality, etc. in accordance with established procedures. WhatYou'll Be Doing: • The Architect is an integralpart of the building process from beginning to end. Hasresponsibility for all subtasks of the architectural works andinterfaces with the architectural consultant(s) to monitorperformance. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods toaccomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives,contract terms, and project policies. Must be capable of managing aprogram of integrated works with multiple stakeholders and projectpartners. • Oversees the preparation of architecturalconcepts and drawings, specifications, and other materials andfinishes suitable for procurement and construction purposes.Regularly interfaces with other disciplines as well as otherdepartments. • Responsible for following up oninstructions and commitments associated with the program.• Reviews supplier material submittals and performstechnical analyses. • Provides technical guidance to CADdesigner/drafters, designers and others working on the sameproject. • Serves as primary interface with the all otherarchitectural consultants and construction contractor in performingdesign reviews or addressing construction-related issues related tothe architectural designs and finishes • Understands allrelated codes and their application to the project; andoverseas/manages the interface with local agencies to coordinatestandards usage and monthly approvals’ process.• Act in an advisory capacity to senior managementpersonnel on architectural related matters. • Maintainsgeneral awareness of the project specifications, drawings anddesign criteria. • Provides regular reports on progress tothe Senior Project Manager; and needs for additional or specialtystaffing. • Responsible to implement the project qualityplan and quality procedures and productivity related to allelectrical works in accordance with program of work on constructionsite. Assists in defining the process for execution of engineeringactivities related to all types of electrical systems; and toidentify the need for specialty assistance. • Performsother responsibilities associated with this position as may beappropriate. What Required Skills You'll Bring: •4-year degree in Architecture or equivalent. Considerableexperience related to this class of work; or any equivalentcombination of training and experience. • 12+ years ofexperience in Design and construction of architectural elements oflarge infrastructure projects including capacity of specialistarchitectural consultant / review engineer preferably comparableposition in the GCC. • Fluent in English, with excellentwritten and oral communication skills • Excellentreporting, presentation, interpersonal and administration skillswith track record of taking the lead in challenging situations.Commercially aware and familiar with local/regional methods andmaterials for construction. • Knowledge of materials,methods and tools involved in architectural design and constructionworks. • Knowledge of design techniques, tools andprincipals involved in architectural engineering. •Familiar with different international standards, especially Britishstandard and EN standards which are widely used in Qatar.• Demonstrated Construction experience of Infrastructurerelated projects such as bridges, highways, expressways, andintersections.
