Welfare Officer

About the role We are hiring for your skills to responsible to assist the Line Manager QR Shafallah in providing welfare and counselling support to Shafallah special needs individuals. Responsible for maintaining health, safety and welfare within / outside QR workplaces for special needs individuals. Other operational duties would include: - Perform as a key liaison or counsellor to Shafallah special needs individuals on a regular basis by introducing simplified means of communication, listening to concerns and providing immediate responses in relation to instances of personal nature and assisting with a direct view into resolving problems or by referral to relevant department / person within the company in order to provide a solution to issues faced. - Initiate Shafallah related policies / procedures and send to the Line Manager for further review. - Assist Line Manager to monitor and suggest measures to management which will serve to improve working conditions of Shafallah staff and in general promote their well-being. - Help management to hire and accommodate special needs individuals from Shafallah Center. - Review and prepare daily / monthly reports as required before submitting to management. - Involved in communicating with parents of Shafallah special needs individuals. - Maintain and track attendance / leave records of special needs individuals. - Establish the system for maintaining soft copies and hard copies of all transactions. - Escalate matters to the management as required. - Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department. Qualifications: About You We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the QR Shafallah Team. - High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience - Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience - Experience working as a Social Worker, Counsellor or as a Professional Nurse. - Ability to be empathetic and compassionate. - Computer literate with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. - About Qatar Airways Group Our story started with four aircraft.
