The Role

A successful candidate would become an integral member of the AV department. The AV team are driven, forward thinking and challenge themselves to deliver bespoke broadcast strategies for their clients no matter what the budget. The ideal candidate is motivated and can motivate clients to believe in great broadcast plans including bespoke video buys, big brand campaigns and performance led campaigns for some of our most exciting clients. They would need to be capable of delivering best in class audit results whilst maintaining good relationships with the TV stations.

Responsibilities

  • You will be a direct client contact maintaining a strong working relationship and ensuring we are continually considered as an extension of the marketing team

  • You will understand your client s category, add value with your opinions and demonstrate an ability to make recommendations that will positively impact their businesses

  • You will help to give day to day guidance to less experienced team members

  • Understand the latest trends & introduce new media opportunities within your planning

  • Work with specialist teams to deliver cohesive, fully integrated cross-channel plans & clearly communicate to clients how the channels will work together

  • Understand how both individual channel KPIs and overall campaign KPIs will be used to measure the success of your plans

  • Understand how to build test and learn opportunities into your planning when relevant

  • Present cross-channel plans to clients

  • Have worked with B2B clients, understanding key media owners who can help pinpoint people with certain job roles or titles

  • Managing the output from junior team members, developing their output and career progression

  • Confident: In presenting, trading, and striking deals with media owners

  • Analytical: Of course, a good planner will possess amazing technical, numerical, and interpretative skills, and be able to draw conclusions and react to any data results and reports

  • Stickler for detail: Monitor media schedules sent to clients across the team

  • Practical: A doer but with an instinct for what can really be achieved when planning and buying plans

Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in media planning and buying agencies

  • Currently in a role that involves digital channel planning and/or comms planning of a fully integrated media planning approach

  • A working knowledge of the current media market landscape and be fluent in their ability to communicate this to clients

  • A thorough understanding of existing and developing opportunities within every digital media channel and an appreciation of the evolving nature of data compliance and its implications for media planning

  • A strong understanding of B2B and / or a focus on performance planning accounts

  • Understanding how brand activity will link in with performance lead comms

  • Knowledge of and experience with key planning tools plus advanced Excel & PPT

  • Excellent time management skills, both of yourself and others
