**Job Title**: MEP BIM Modeler

**Job Summary**:
The MEP BIM Modeler is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed 3D models of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building projects using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. This role supports the design and construction teams by ensuring that all MEP components are accurately represented, coordinated, and clash-free within the overall architectural and structural models.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **BIM Model Creation**:

- Develop detailed 3D BIM models for MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, and other building services).
- Coordinate and integrate MEP systems with architectural and structural models.
- Use BIM software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD MEP) to create and update MEP designs.
- **Clash Detection and Resolution**:

- Run clash detection tests to identify and resolve any conflicts between MEP systems and other building components.
- Collaborate with project engineers and designers to adjust models as needed to ensure proper integration and functionality.
- **Collaborative Coordination**:

- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure accurate representation of MEP systems in the BIM model.
- Assist in the coordination of MEP systems during design development and construction phases.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Prepare detailed 3D models, drawings, schematics, and specifications for MEP systems.
- Create and maintain accurate model documentation, including as-built models, system components, and installation sequences.
- Generate reports on clash detection, coordination issues, and design modifications.
- **Quality Control and Accuracy**:

- Ensure all models comply with project requirements and industry standards.
- Perform regular quality checks to verify model accuracy, completeness, and coordination.
- **Technical Support**:

- Provide technical assistance to project teams by troubleshooting BIM-related issues.
- Maintain and update knowledge of the latest MEP modeling techniques and BIM software features.
- **Training and Development**:

- Provide guidance to junior modelers or team members on BIM modeling practices.
- Stay updated on advancements in BIM technologies and MEP design practices.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Education**: A degree or diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plumbing Engineering, Building Services, Architecture, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in MEP design or construction, with a strong focus on BIM modeling.
- **Software Proficiency**: Expertise in BIM software, especially Revit, AutoCAD MEP, Navisworks, and other MEP design tools.
- **Technical Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of MEP systems and their integration into building designs.
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong focus on precision, accuracy, and model integrity.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to identify issues in the model and propose practical solutions.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams.
- **Clash Detection**: Familiarity with clash detection software and the ability to resolve design conflicts in the BIM model.

**Desirable Skills**:

- Knowledge of BIM standards and protocols.
- Familiarity with LEED or sustainability guidelines in building projects.
- Experience with 4D or 5D BIM (time and cost management).
- Ability to create detailed technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to QAR6,000.00 per month
