**Key Accountabilities**:

- Lead the design process on one or several projects (hands-on) depending on size, type and complexity.
- Supervise a team of ELV/ICT Draftsmen by providing direct instructions, guidance and oversight of all tasks conducted by engineers & draftsmen assigned to work on the respective projects.
- Develop the skills of junior and intermediate engineers, designers, site engineers & draftsmen.
- Experience in preparing technical reports, specifications and client presentations are a must.
- Able to grasp complex concepts in limited time and make decisions while being mindful of long term implications, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active approach.
- A good level of computer literacy with experience in related ELV software.
- Working knowledge of document production using Autodesk software. Revit is used extensively by AEB, and knowledge of BIM tools is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, mainly Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Communication with design teams (internal and external), clients and project managers.
- Ensure effective coordination occurs with other disciplines such as Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical and Structural Engineering.
- Attend all coordination and progress meetings and present options and solutions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Studio Director and/or Project Manager.
- Thorough knowledge of local authority requirements and regulations and can obtain project related approvals from the relevant local authorities.
- Perform system calculations and studies for server and IDF sizing and requirements.
- Perform calculations for cable sizes, cable tray fill/loading.
- Design of all assigned project drawings for compliance with all company and project instructions (Single line diagrams, installation details, wiring diagrams, etc.)
- Discuss design detail and strategies with our clients
- Conduct site visits and assessment, as required to execute design work when required.
- Proven background working for international engineering consultancies.
- General knowledge and ability to review Electrical systems is a benefit.
- Familiar with MEP building services systems.
- Assist the construction supervision team with respect to the implementation of the design as required.
- Experience in comprehending smart city guidelines and adapting the same into building and infrastructure projects.

**Requirements**:

- Health care, Hospitality, Data centers, Strategic governmental buildings (control towers, headquarters control centers), smart city master plan projects experience would be beneficial.
- Minimum 15 years of experience working in an engineering design consultancy, developing design including calculations and modelling/drawing of Extra Low Voltage distribution systems with proven GCC experience in major projects.
- Must be proficient in sustainable design with good knowledge of GSAS (GORD, Qatar), Mostadam - KSA, Estidama, Dubai Green Building, Emirates
