**Optometrist I - Grade 110**

**Qatar Public Healthcare provider seeking to recruit international Optometrist with **at least** 3-6 ears experience post Bachelor Degree in **Optometry**

The post holder main focus will be on monitoring research studies and their adherence to the ethical conduct, as outlined by the research protocol and as per the IRB approval.

**Package**:
**OVERSEAS CONTRACT**:
**Basic Salary: +/- 10 850 QAR per month. **This is an **estimated amount. The **offered amount is the discretion of the employer.**

**Transport Allowance: 1250 QAR per month.**

**Accommodation**: Provided.

**Annual Leave**: 40 calendar days.

**Air Passage Entitlement**: Economy class air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship).

**Baggage Allowance**: Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate.

**ESSENTIAL EDUCATION**:
Bachelor Degree in Optometry.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE**:
3 years of experience as licensed Optometrist.

**MEDICAL LICENSE**:
Valid Primary license from country of origin and eligible for license from licensing authority in the State of Qatar to practice in the healthcare profession.

**LANGUAGE**:
Fluent in English.

The purpose of this role is to works closely with the medical staff in ophthalmology in order to deliver a comprehensive range of specialist optometric services of high standards and quality patient care.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Undertakes a range of core and advanced highly complex optometric investigations and delivers care packages through routine and diagnostic adult and paediatric refraction.

2. Determines the refractive error of the eye objectively by using retinoscopes.

3. Evaluates visual function by use of highly complex investigative equipment, including visual fields, colour vision, and assessment of intra-ocular pressure.

4. Interprets of highly complex results thereby providing diagnostic data for medical staff review

5. Provides refraction and optometry procedures training.

6. Ensures that all equipment and tools are used safely and stored cleanly and securely.

7. Analyses test results and facilitates the development of a treatment plan.

8. Provides preoperative and postoperative care to cataract patients, as well as to patients who have had laser vision correction or other eye surgery

9. Performs other duties as assigned
