Gynaecologist

1. **Clinical Duties**:

- Conducting routine gynecological examinations, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, and breast exams.
- Diagnosing and treating various gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), infertility, and menopause-related issues.
- Managing pregnancies from conception through delivery, providing prenatal care, monitoring fetal development, and performing deliveries (vaginal or cesarean).
- Performing gynecological surgeries such as hysterectomy, ovarian cystectomy, tubal ligation, and mínimally invasive procedures like laparoscopy and hysteroscopy.

2. **Patient Care**:

- Providing compassionate and patient-centered care, addressing patients' concerns, and explaining medical procedures and treatment options clearly.
- Offering counseling on contraception, family planning, and reproductive health.
- Educating patients on maintaining good reproductive health practices and preventive measures.

3. **Collaboration**:

- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals including obstetricians, nurses, midwives, and specialists in related fields such as oncology, endocrinology, and urology.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and develop comprehensive treatment plans.

4. **Medical Records and Documentation**:

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient, including clinical notes, test results, and treatment plans.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant medical regulations, standards of practice, and institutional policies.

5. **Continuing Education**:

- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the field of gynecology through attending conferences, seminars, and workshops.
- Pursuing ongoing medical education and training to maintain licensure and certifications.

6. **Research and Academic Activities**:

- Engaging in clinical research projects related to women's health issues.
- Teaching and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at conferences.

7. **Administrative Duties**:

- Participating in departmental meetings and administrative activities as required.
- Contributing to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and safety.
- Adhering to institutional protocols for infection control, patient confidentiality, and ethical standards.
