Restaurant Supervisor

**Job Summary**:
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a street food stall or food truck. Involves supervising staff, ensuring food quality and safety, managing inventory, and providing excellent customer service. Maintaining operational efficiency, upholding brand standards, and promoting the success of the food stall or food truck.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, including Shawarma Chefs, Order Takers, Food Runners, and Cashiers, to ensure efficient and effective operation of the food stall or food truck.
2. Provide leadership and direction to staff during service periods, assigning tasks, and monitoring performance to maintain high standards of food quality, customer service, and cleanliness.
3. Oversee food preparation activities, including marinating meat, cooking shawarma, assembling wraps and platters, and preparing side dishes and accompaniments.
4. Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation, ensuring that all menu items meet established standards for taste, appearance, and portion size.
5. Conduct regular inspections of food preparation areas and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.
6. Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing inquiries, taking orders, and resolving complaints or issues as needed.
7. Ensure that customers receive prompt and courteous service at all times, striving to exceed their expectations and enhance their dining experience.
8. Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels, making adjustments to service procedures or menu offerings as necessary.
9. Monitor inventory levels of food ingredients, supplies, and packaging materials, and coordinate with suppliers or vendors to replenish stock as needed.
10. Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain accurate records of inventory movement and usage.
11. Minimize waste and optimize inventory turnover to maximize profitability and minimize costs.
12. Supervise cash handling procedures, including processing customer payments, reconciling cash registers or POS systems.
13. Assist in implementing cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability and achieve financial targets.
14. Ensure that the food stall or food truck is kept clean, organized, and free of clutter at all times, following sanitation and hygiene protocols.
15. Conduct regular inspections of kitchen and service areas to maintain cleanliness, food safety, and compliance with health regulations.
16. Train staff on proper food handling, hygiene practices, and safety procedures to minimize the risk of foodborne illnesses or contamination.
17. Sending weekly Rota’s Schedule.
18. Maintain records of attendance.
19. Performs other duties assigned.
**Qualification, Experience & Knowledge**
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, or equivalent.
- 5 years’ experience in supervisory role, preferably in street food or fast-casual restaurant environment.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating bills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food and beverage items, including menu descriptions, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Preferred Arab natinality.
- With valid Food Handling Certificate, NOC and QID.
