**Job Description: Leather Technician Manager Level (Automotive Background)**

**LOCATION: DOHA QATAR**

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Leather Work & Repair:

- Manufacture and repair leather components used in vehicle interiors.
- Restore damaged or worn leather upholstery, seats, dashboards, and other automotive interior parts.
- Prepare, cut, and stitch leather according to project specifications.

2. Leather Installation:

- Install leather seats, panels, and interior trim in vehicles with precision and accuracy.
- Ensure all components fit properly and meet quality standards during the installation process.
- Collaborate with other technicians to ensure seamless integration of leather components into the overall vehicle design.

3. Leather Maintenance & Finishing:

- Perform cleaning, conditioning, and finishing of leather materials to maintain high-quality appearance and longevity.
- Ensure the final finish meets aesthetic and durability standards.

4. Quality Control:

- Inspect all leather materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Identify defects, inconsistencies, or issues in materials or production processes and provide solutions to resolve them.

5. Project Coordination:

- Work closely with design and production teams to understand project requirements and deadlines.
- Assist in managing leather material inventory and ensure the availability of necessary tools and supplies.
- Coordinate with supervisors to plan and prioritize projects based on customer needs.

6. Health & Safety:

- Follow safety protocols for handling leather materials, cutting tools, and chemicals.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
1. Experience:

- Minimum of 5-10 years of hands-on experience in leatherwork, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in leather production, repair, and installation in vehicle interiors.

2. Technical Knowledge:

- Strong understanding of various types of leather used in automotive interiors.
- Proficiency in leather stitching, cutting, and finishing techniques.
- Familiarity with tools and machinery used in leatherwork, including sewing machines, cutting tools, and adhesives.

3. Attention to Detail:

- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure high-quality craftsmanship in leather products.
- Ability to detect imperfections in leather materials and make necessary corrections or repairs.

4. Problem Solving:

- Strong troubleshooting skills to address issues related to leather repairs or installations.
- Ability to adapt to complex or custom design requirements and offer innovative solutions.

5. Communication & Teamwork:

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with design, production, and supervisory teams.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

6. Physical Dexterity:

- Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity for precision work with leather materials.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle tasks requiring fine motor skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with high-end or luxury automotive interiors.
- Knowledge of modern leather treatment and preservation techniques.
- Multilingual skills are a plus, but not required.

**Salary & Contract Terms**:
Pay: From QAR3,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Doha: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Leather Automotive upholstery: 10 years (required)
