The Loss Prevention Engineer is responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing safety measures to prevent accidents, fires, and losses in industrial and commercial environments. The engineer works closely with safety managers, project teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure that operations comply with industry standards and best practices. The role involves conducting risk assessments, implementing loss prevention strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance to protect assets, people, and the environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Risk Assessment & Analysis**:

- Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments for various industrial processes and operations.
- Identify potential loss factors such as fire hazards, equipment failures, environmental risks, and operational hazards.
- Develop and maintain loss prevention policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- **Safety System Design & Implementation**:

- Design and implement safety systems, including fire suppression systems, emergency shutdown systems, and hazardous material handling protocols.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current safety systems and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with design and construction teams to ensure loss prevention measures are integrated into project planning and execution.
- **Compliance & Regulatory Adherence**:

- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations, such as OSHA, NFPA, and EPA standards.
- Prepare and submit reports for regulatory bodies and participate in audits and inspections.
- Liaise with insurance providers, consultants, and government agencies to ensure safety standards are met.
- **Incident Investigation & Reporting**:

- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses to determine root causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
- Maintain detailed records of incidents and produce reports for management and regulatory authorities.
- **Training & Awareness**:

- Conduct training sessions for employees on safety and loss prevention best practices.
- Promote safety culture within the organization through awareness programs, drills, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical advice and guidance to operational teams regarding safety protocols and risk mitigation.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
- Certification in Fire Protection, Safety Engineering, or Risk Management is preferred (e.g., CFPS, CSP).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in loss prevention, safety engineering, or a similar field, preferably in high-risk industries.
- Knowledge of safety and risk management regulations and standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA, API, HSE guidelines).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software for risk analysis and safety management (e.g., HAZOP, PHA tools).

**Desired Skills**:
