Lead of Loss Prevention (LP) - 2 Positions
- Develop and lead comprehensive Loss Prevention activities for COMP1&3 Projects (Subsea pipelines, offshore Wellhead and Riser Platform), ensuring all safety and loss prevention requirements such as philosophies, codes, practices are in compliance with NFPS project and COMPANY requirements and standards. Provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor and facilitate resolution of loss prevention issues to complete discipline activities consistent with project objectives and milestones.
- Develops safe, fit-for-purpose technical solutions that meet the intent of project requirements.
- Review Contractor’s Loss Prevention/Process Safety Engineering design deliverables. Support the EPC by providing clear guidance to close out appropriate actions associated with LP activities such as safety case, studies, risk assessments, HAZOPs etc.- Major challenge for this role is maintaining effective working relationships with contractor and stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHEQ) to ensure alignment on overall delivery of Loss Prevention scope in accordance with project requirements and plan.
- Risk based evaluation of complex technical issues that may have significant commercial impacts to overall project execution.
- Maintaining constructive and positive working relationship with EPC contractors to ensure delivery of Technical Safety / Loss Prevention scope per plan and inaccordance with project requirements.
- Facilitation of risk assessment sessions with the participation of different stakeholders.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Technical Safety engineering methodologies, software systems, and design practices as they relate to Detail Design, Construction, Commissioning, and plant Start-up
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivelant (B.Sc./B.Eng./M.Sc.)
- Certifications in process safety is preferred preferred.
- 15 Years+ of relevant Technical Safety and Loss prevention engineering experience in Oil and Gas Design, extensive work experience at a lead level for greenfield and brownfield projects from Front End Development through execution, commissioning and start-up.
- Must have sound offshore experience of at least 10 years involving complex greenfield development projects.
- Experience of participation in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL Rating workshops.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English both written and verbal in English.
