**Job Overview**

The Anesthesiologist is responsible for monitoring patient’s health before, during, and immediately after medical and surgical procedures. They are responsible for providing anesthesia and other medications to patients.

**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Consulting with patients before procedures to discuss their health history and lifestyle.
- Evaluating patients' conditions by looking at their medical histories.
- Outlining the surgical procedure to patients.
- Giving anesthesia, keeping track of the patient's vital signs during medical and surgical operations, and adjusting the anesthetic as necessary to keep the patient comfortable.
- Monitoring the patient's vital signs and pain treatment post-op.
- Keeping records of patients' procedures, as well as the kinds and dosages of drugs they receive.

**Competency (knowledge, skills, & abilities)**
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine
- Master’s degree in Anesthesia
